Centralized firmware management with LANCOM WLAN controllers


Description:
LANCOM WLAN controllers provide various options for updating the centrally managed firmware in managed LANCOM access points. The following approaches are possible:
  • Firmware update using a web server. This approach is described in the following Knowledge Base document Database 'SP Knowledgebase', View '03. Edit Documents\by Responsible, Status', Document 'Zentrales Firmware-Management bei LANCOM WLAN-Controllern unter Verwendung eines Webservers'.
  • Firmware updates using a USB flash drive as a file server (only with WLAN controllers WLC-4006, WLC-4025+ and WLC-4100).
